Boot Tray For Entryways, Inside & Out
With 3 old dogs, I have a lot of experience in going outside 20 plus times every day, and bringing in snow, slush, dirt, smooshed berries, wet leaves, grass, bugs, etc…and with an occasional dog poop stuck to my boot. I have learned that NOT having a rug at entryway doors is a horrible decision because it becomes a wet and dirty mess. I have also learned that even with a rug at the entryway door, the rug will get very wet from snowy and slushy boots. So to prevent all or most of the water and mess at your entryways, and on your rugs, there are 2 options.
Option 1 is for those who want NO snow, slush, water, mess, or dirt inside. This option is to have at least 2 of our heavy duty recycled plastic trays. One outside your entryway door and one on the inside of that same door. This way, after walking through the snow, dirt, slush, and or water with your dog(s), you can take your boots off on a tray on the front porch or in the garage and put your slippers on. Then whenever you feel like it, you can bring your boots inside to warm them up. You can also easily pick up the tray and dump it outside or in your laundry tub. Or just leave it there. The water won’t hurt our weatherproof trays
Option 2 is for those who just want to come inside, take their boots off, and not worry about it. This option is to get one or a few trays, depending on how many people are in your home. And to put those trays at the entryway doors, inside, so as soon as you walk in, you can take your boots off and put them directly on the tray. In my experience, snow gets stuck to the bottom of my boot patterns and to the outside of the rubber on the boots. Especially, the slush. So I smack my boots together on one side of the large tray then put them on the other side. The snow will melt but the tray is about 1 inch deep and there are raised ridges that lift your footwear a little to help them dry.
Overall, it's a great boot tray but that's not all it can do. This multipurpose tray is Made in the USA with heavy duty recycled plastic. It is chemical resistant, weatherproof, durable, long-lasting, and useful. The ways to use this tray never stops!
