Portable Container Gardens

I didn’t want to leave my container garden outside by itself for 3 and 1/2 days over the 4th of July weekend so I quickly and easily brought my shelves and plants indoors. I set the shelves up against the back door (photo above). And I put as many plants on it as I could, comfortably, in hopes they would get some sun. I put the rest of the plants on window sills indoors and in an area by a larger window.

Top Shelf Garage Shelves are lightweight, easy to assemble/disassemble and portable so it took me less than 10 minutes to bring everything indoors. Below is a photo of how I left the area all weekend.

Now it’s time to set up my container garden back up outside. 5 minutes later my container garden was fully set up with plants on top. I moved a lot quicker setting it back up than taking it down because it was 90 and sunny so I just wanted to be done. Plus, I was able to easily pull the 3 shelves apart and carry them outside, one by one, with all the legs attached.  The more you assemble and disassemble our shelves, the easier it gets

Bringing my container garden and shelves inside while I was away, prevented my container garden from blowing away in the case of unforeseen bad weather. Or from getting too dry in the sun all day with no water. A few of my plants looked like some had even grown while I was gone and the potting mix was still moist
